Welcome to Crumb! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Crumb mobile application ("App") provided by Crumb ("we", "our", or "us"). By using Crumb, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Crumb, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Crumb is a bread baking diary application that allows you to:
- Log and track your bread baking sessions
- Record ingredients, temperatures, timings, and observations
- Save and organize recipes
- Capture photos of your bakes
- Sync data across devices (with an account)
3. Account Registration
You may use Crumb without creating an account. If you choose to create an account:
- You must provide accurate and complete information
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- You are responsible for all activities under your account
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
4. User Content
You retain ownership of all content you create in Crumb (bake logs, recipes, photos, notes). By using Crumb, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
You agree not to upload content that:
- Violates any laws or regulations
- Infringes on intellectual property rights
- Contains malicious code or harmful content
- Is abusive, harassing, or inappropriate
5. Subscriptions and Payments
Crumb offers free and premium subscription tiers:
- Free: Full bake diary functionality, local storage
- Premium: Additional features including AI coaching, cloud sync, and advanced analytics
Premium subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through the App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Refunds are handled according to Apple's or Google's refund policies.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- Reverse engineer or decompile the App
- Use automated systems to access the App
- Resell or redistribute the App or its content
7. Intellectual Property
Crumb, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without permission.
8. Disclaimers
Crumb is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:
- The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
- The App will meet your specific requirements
- Any baking advice or suggestions will produce desired results
Baking involves inherent risks. Always follow food safety guidelines. We are not responsible for any outcomes from your baking activities.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Crumb.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Crumb at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason. You may stop using Crumb at any time and delete your account through the app settings.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App. Continued use of Crumb after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.
