At Crumb ("we", "our", or "us"), we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

Information You Provide:
- Account Information: If you create an account using Apple or Google sign-in, we receive your email address and display name from those providers.
- Bake Data: Information you enter about your bakes, including ingredients, temperatures, timings, notes, and photos.
- Recipes: Recipes you create and save within the app.
Automatically Collected Information:
- Usage Data: We collect anonymous analytics about how you use the app to improve our service.
- Device Information: Basic device information such as device type, operating system version, and app version.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the Crumb app
- Sync your data across devices (if you create an account)
- Improve and optimize our services
- Send important updates about the app (with your consent)
- Provide customer support
Data Storage
Local Storage: By default, all your bake data is stored locally on your device. You can use Crumb without creating an account, and your data stays on your device.
Cloud Sync: If you choose to create an account, your data is securely synced to our cloud servers (powered by Supabase) to enable cross-device access. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:
- Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services (Supabase for data storage and authentication, Firebase for analytics, RevenueCat for subscriptions, OpenAI for AI coaching features) that help us operate the app.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your data
- Correction: Update or correct your information
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data
- Export: Export your bake data in a portable format

AI Coaching
When you use the AI coaching feature (available to Premium subscribers), information about your bakes may be sent to OpenAI to generate personalized advice. This data is processed according to OpenAI's usage policies and is not used to train AI models.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.
Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption, secure connections (HTTPS), and regular security audits.
Children's Privacy
Crumb is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email.
